So…I just got a couple books based on the Dr. McDougall programs: one is about the diet itself, (low-fat, vegan diet) and the other is the cookbook. I attempted my first recipe tonight which was a bean burger made from kidney beans. They were delicious but in no way held their "burger" form.
I would love to know if any of you vegans have read the book or done the program, and if you’ve had luck with any of the recipes. Thanks
H.S.

would be best for me since I am on a low fat, low cholesterol diet due to having gallstones? They do say stay away from dairy, but just checking to see if I can have some sort of milk product with my cereals. Skim, low fat, fat free etc.
Thanks!
Okay not trying to loose weight! I am 5’7" and weigh 125lbs. I am doing this due to gallstones.

I need to lose weight for a wedding next month. So far I have lost 15lbs over the course of the last 3 months but now I have to up the weightloss a little to fit into the bridesmaid dress.
How does this diet sound? I know it is very restrictive but oh well. I have to include some carbs or I get very lightheaded.
Breakfast: 1/2 cup oatmeal. 1 piece of small fruit
Snack: Celery w/ low fat peanut butter
Lunch: Spinach salad w/ mushrooms, chickpeas, egg and a sprinkling of sunflower seeds.
Snack: Tomato w/mustard
Dinner: Baked fish (about 6 oz) w/ steamed veggies.
Dessert: 1/2 cup sugar free applesauce
Snack: 12 raw almonds
I will also be doing cardio for 45 minutes 4-5 days a week
Strength training 2-3 times a week for 30 minutes
How much weight do you think I will lose?
I am 5’5" and 142 lbs.
