I have been trying to lose fat recently because I have cholesterol issues, but I’ve always found it hard. I’m well in to nutrition and have also tried all of the common risky diets under the sun to no avail.
I’m not really fat, I’ve got a BMI of 28 but I’m built for rugby and I’m 6ft 4in.
For the last 3 months I’ve eaten a daily calorie intake of no more than 2000cal on a low fat diet, and on rare occasion that I had some biscuits, a chocolate bar etc I had a smaller meal to compensate. According to a nutritionist because of my muscle mass and frame size I would naturally burn at least 3500cal per day without exercise (average male 2500cal)
On the low calorie & fat diet it was difficult to do exercise as I didn’t have enough energy, but i still should have lost fat as 3500-2000 = 1500 calories had to come from somewhere right?!!!
One thing I’ve learned is that fat loss is not as simple as it I wish it was. {If it was then 1g of fat contains 9 calories, so in a day I would burn 167g of fat and lose a kilo in 6 days! Without going to the gym and doing more}
I didn’t lose any weight when I went for my checkup last week so I’ve been put on orilstat! Fat pills that stop me absorbing so much fat in my gut. I hardly eat any fatty foods, so not sure if that’ll work either.
I’m aware that most people jump straight to metabolism as their problem when they’re just in denial about stuffing their faces. THIS PERSON IS NOT ME! So I’m not ruling about metabolism as there seems to be no other way to explain why I never lose fat. When I rowed for uni 12 times a week i still maintained fat levels, just put on more muscle so I appeared slimmer.
Sorry this is so long, I’m hoping to attract a few nutritionists and medical experts, not to say anyone’s view isn’t welcome!!! Any tips from anyone would be very helpful.

for anyone that works out or knows about fitness:{and please no smart a.s.s answers, serious responses only!!!} i need to lose around 40lbs to hit target weight and just bodybuild after that to insane size!!!… im doing a heavy weightlifting routine (all body parts) almost every day, along with a little cardio, im on a low-calorie, low-fat, low sugar diet, drink plenty of water, no caffeine, no drugs or alcohol, im healthy no diseases of any kind…i was wondering whats a good thermogenic supplement (money is no object, i need the best and the fastest) to just shred the unwanted lbs. (fat) i plan on sticking to my diet and workout for a very long time, i just need a boost. also, anyone try Armageddon? ive heard lots of good stuff as far as using it as a pre-workout supplement for insane endurance and even sicker reps and going way more on your maxing reps….can anyone testify to this or have anything bad to say about it?
tried hydroxycut. works really really slow if at all. i was on leptopril for about a month, i lost 30lbs in two weeks, with light cardio and light dieting, no real workout….i stopped altogether with the diet,cardio and pills and gained it back…yeah, my fault!!! im back on it though…but i think i may have built resistance to it….as im losing weight but slowly…but i think its more due to the weightlifting and the dieting…thats why i need something more hardcore to implement into my routine…hot rox..ive heard something about it…at G.N.C
and as a matter of fact, fiber tablets may make ur stomache full for a little while, but in the long run it makes you go to the bathroom more often, hence fiber is reccomended for cleansing your system….not the approach i really want to go with. thanks anyway.
