Cellulite is a frustrating and unsightly condition which affects up to 90 per cent of women. It can adversely affect a woman’s self-esteem making them self-conscious of their appearance and body image. Those that have the condition often go to great lengths to cover up their problem area which means they have tremendous difficulty going to the beach or wearing revealing clothing. The millions of dollars a year which is spent on trying to solve cellulite just shows how many women find this condition embarrassing and difficult.

The vast array of different treatments can make it difficult to know which one is the best for cellulite reduction. One word of warning: don’t be mislead by the many advertisements that claim quick results. This is unrealistic because it takes at least a few weeks to see any noticeable results with every treatment. Keep this in mind when looking at various treatments.

The most effective way to get rid of cellulite is use two or three treatments together so that you can target the cellulite from a number of angles. Most experts agree that the single most effective method is to use a cellulite cream, massage, exercise and diet changes all together in order to treat your condition.

The purpose of the exercise is to reduce fat and increase muscle tone. In order to do this it is best to focus on exercises that not only have a high cardio component but that also work the muscles in and around the cellulite. Thirty minutes 3 times per week is the bare minimum that you need in order to start seeing results. Rotate through different exercises so that you stay motivated.

We all know what foods we need to eat less of in order to lose weight and cellulite. Avoid those foods that are full of sugar, fat and salt. Cut out the fast food, sweets, caffeine and alcohol. Make sure you start to replace these foods with fresh fruit, vegetables and lean meat.

The most popular of all treatments is to use a cellulite cream by massaging it into the skin and fat. The cream is thought to help burn away the fat underneath the skin and moisturize the skin so that it is less likely to become dimpled. The massaging softens up the hardened fat deposits and irons out the dimples from the skin. Any toxins that are located in the fat are also pushed out so that they can removed by the body more easily.

There are many creams that you can use. It is best to try one that has proven results and good reviews from satisfied customers. For the best results most creams require that you apply twice a day.
