RE Doughnuts, cakes, and other pastry-type treats? We are discarding sugar and fat? 2
…Quite often foods like these are brought to our Sunday School meetings. More and more these treats are getting left behind, because they are not on many diets, or people are reducing.
…I have an idea – to make these more palatable to the masses, we can just describe these treats differently, then maybe more will get eaten and there will be less waste.
…i.e., DIET DOUGHNUTS, NO MSG, LOW-FAT, LOW-CHOLESTEROL, 1/3 FEWER CALORIES, etc.
…We could even find some unknown quack doctor to endorse it as health food. There are some of these prowling around the late-night TV programs.
…Don’t laugh, I have old TV programs that feature the stars smoking cigarettes and citing a doctor’s study, and this doctor can find nothing no difficulties with heavy smoking – that Chesterfield cigarettes are okay for you.
…Don’t get concerned, I say most of this tongue-in-cheek. I have to watch what I eat – diabetes, etc. This question is a little baiting to get your dandruff up.
…Do check out some of these TV adds and radio ads, even stories on TV and radio. They are deceptive; listen to them carefully.
…Last, I do not endorse tobacco use at all. My father-in-law has advanced emphysema from cigarette smoking. I smoked for a while but thank goodness I quit 30 years ago. I have know love for the tobacco industry at all, and think it is a dirty shame that our government advertises against, but enjoys the tax money collected from it.
