Gall bladder surgery: for how long will the bloating last? 4

Posted on July 28, 2010 by lowfatdg

I had my gall bladder removed Aug. 13th and my belly is still bloated from the gaz they used and probably internal swelling. When I asked when it will go away I could not get a straight answer from the Doctor’s nurse; she says it depends. Someone told me it will never go away; which I doubt. IO am eating a low-fat, low cholesterol diet and am loosing about one pound a week. Anyone who went through this can answer me? Thanks.
I had the laparoscopic procedure. I would like to hear from people who had it done to see how long the big belly subsided.
…and of course low fat yogourt is part of my diet. In fact I have been eating low fat for the last six months.

Low fat diet for a pregnant woman? 5

Posted on July 17, 2010 by lowfatdg

Before you judge and say that it is bad for me to be on any kind of diet while pregnant, I have a good reason for it. It was prescibed by my doc because I have Cholelithiasis Biliary Colic, or irritated gall bladder. I have to be on a low fat, clear liquids diet. The clear liquids don’t bother me at all. Water is pretty much what I drink most of the time. I don’t really drink pop.
Anyway, I wanted to know if anyone could give me recipes or good things I can eat that are low in fat? I still want to eat healthy for my baby. I can’t do fish, but am open to other suggestions. Any thoughts?
