We love them♡ INGREDIENTS: &#8211; Lentils (1 cup) &#8211; Carrots (2 cups) &#8211; Garlic (4 cloves) &#8211; Celery (3 stalks) &#8211; Large tomato &#8211; Olive oil (2 tablespoons) &#8211; Water (8-16 oz) &#8211; Chicken broth (optional) INSTRUCTIONS: * Optional &#8211; soak lentils for 1 hour (lentils get mushy soaking is not necessary) &#8211; Chop up tomato &#8211; Cook all ingredients (except the lentils) in a pot with 2 tablespoons of olive oil until you smell the garlic cooking &#8211; Wash the lentils &#8211; Add water to the pot of cooking ingredients &#8211; Add lentils &#8211; Bring to a boil, and simmer over medium heat * add chicken broth optional COOKING TIME: 40 minutes over medium heat SERVE WITH: &#8211; Salad &#8211; Garlic bread</p>

<p>A soup that is low in calories and fat, and huge on taste! MULLIGATAWNY SOUP INGREDIENTS: 80g onion, diced small (1/2 cup) 128g celery, diced small (2 stalks) 72g carrots, grated (1 large carrot) 9g olive oil (2 teaspoons) 3g curry powder (1.5 teaspoons) 4 cups Campbell&#8217;s Less Salt Chicken Broth (900 ml) 213g potato, diced small pinch of thyme 64g apple, diced small 200g boneless chicken breast, bite sized, raw ½ cup low fat milk DIRECTIONS: 1. In a large pot, sauté onion, celery and carrots in the olive oil until they are soft. 2. Add the curry powder and broth and bring to a boil. 3. Turn down to simmer and cook for 30 minutes. 4. Then add in potato, thyme, apple and raw chicken. 5. Cook for an additional 20 minutes until potatoes are cooked. 6. Add milk and serve. 7. Add a tablespoon or two of sour cream (optional) on top and enjoy.<!-- pingbacker_start --><br />

<p>Everybody knows eating a low fat diet that is also low in calories helps you lose weight but choosing a low fat diet is a smart move for more than one reason. Not only can you lose weight on a low fat diet, you can also decrease your risk of certain types of disease.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s an easy way to keep your diet healthy and low in fat.</p>
<p>The Low Fat Diet Way of Eating</p>
<p>- &#8220;Low fat diet&#8221; doesn&#8217;t mean &#8220;no fat diet&#8221;. There are certain kinds of fats that are actually good for you. These include the fat found in canola and olive oils. These fats contain omega 3&#8242;s and actually have the &#8220;good cholesterol&#8221; you need. You do not need more than 2 tablespoons of these each day.</p>
<p>- Eat at least 3 vegetables and 2 servings of fruit every day.</p>
<p>- Choose lean meat over beef and pork. Chicken breast, turkey breast and most kinds of fish are low fat if not &#8220;no fat&#8221;.</p>
<p>- Eat 3 servings of fiber from whole grain foods. If you eat whole grain cereal, make sure you eat the kind that doesn&#8217;t add high fructose corn syrup. Steel cut oatmeal is a good option.</p>
<p>- Dairy products that are low in fat are great sources of calcium and they help you burn calories when you are on a low fat diet. Consume 3 servings of these every day for the full effect.</p>
<p>Studies have linked high fat diets with several kinds of cancers, heart disease and strokes. By going on a low fat diet, you are giving yourself a much better gift than weight loss. A low fat diet will also help you live a longer, healthier life.</p>
