My dad was recently told he can no longer eat fatty foods and should go on a very strict diet. I want to make him tasty, yet extremely healthy food. I was told he should be eating 0 fat, but I doubt there are any recipes like that.
Although, I will appreciate low fat diet recipes.
Thank you~

I have been trying to lose fat recently because I have cholesterol issues, but I’ve always found it hard. I’m well in to nutrition and have also tried all of the common risky diets under the sun to no avail.
I’m not really fat, I’ve got a BMI of 28 but I’m built for rugby and I’m 6ft 4in.
For the last 3 months I’ve eaten a daily calorie intake of no more than 2000cal on a low fat diet, and on rare occasion that I had some biscuits, a chocolate bar etc I had a smaller meal to compensate. According to a nutritionist because of my muscle mass and frame size I would naturally burn at least 3500cal per day without exercise (average male 2500cal)
On the low calorie & fat diet it was difficult to do exercise as I didn’t have enough energy, but i still should have lost fat as 3500-2000 = 1500 calories had to come from somewhere right?!!!
One thing I’ve learned is that fat loss is not as simple as it I wish it was. {If it was then 1g of fat contains 9 calories, so in a day I would burn 167g of fat and lose a kilo in 6 days! Without going to the gym and doing more}
I didn’t lose any weight when I went for my checkup last week so I’ve been put on orilstat! Fat pills that stop me absorbing so much fat in my gut. I hardly eat any fatty foods, so not sure if that’ll work either.
I’m aware that most people jump straight to metabolism as their problem when they’re just in denial about stuffing their faces. THIS PERSON IS NOT ME! So I’m not ruling about metabolism as there seems to be no other way to explain why I never lose fat. When I rowed for uni 12 times a week i still maintained fat levels, just put on more muscle so I appeared slimmer.
Sorry this is so long, I’m hoping to attract a few nutritionists and medical experts, not to say anyone’s view isn’t welcome!!! Any tips from anyone would be very helpful.
Thanks

We try to emphasize the low fat, low protein foods in our menus but low caloric intake seems to trigger gout, along with quite a few dark green vegetables.
One contributing factor to gout is obesity and it is recommended to lose weight.
One recommendation for gout sufferers is not to eliminate fatty foods from your diet because they help metabolize uric acid.
How are you supposed to lose weight?
There is so much information out there, everything I read about the two problems seems to be contradictory.

S Switching from low carb to low fat…?
I have been watching my carbs for 2 ish weeks. I lost five pounds really fast but then I have stayed the same for the past week. So, I have decided that low carb is not healthy and since I exercise so much, my body needs carbs.
Here is my question: I ate 43 carbs a day with 20 grams of fiber.
My new diet plan will cut out ALL fatty foods (except the healthy fats) and all cheese. I will not eat any flour but I will add in two servings of fruit a day.
I am also planning on decreasing my calories.
So the question: Will a lower calorie-low fat diet allow me to lose weight or will I gain weight from the fruit? I really want to stop counting carbs!!

I previously made an entry about what I should do about my overweight body over the summer. I am 13 and overweight. I want to lose about 20 pounds this summer. I am willing to go on a diet cut down fatty foods, and exserise. I cannot use the gym, weights and basically home excerises. I made a scedhule can people say if this is a good start for my diet and my goal to lose weight?
This is my exserise scedhule:
1) 5 minute stretch after I wake up
2) 6-12 minute jog every morning
3) 30 situps 30 pushups once a day
4) Go out to the Community Center pool for 1 hour with my dad.
Food Plan:
Breakfast: Choices can be Scrambled Eggs, Brown Whole Wheat Bread Toast, Honey Nut Cherios, whole wheat grilled low in fat cheese sandwich, a glass of 1% Milk, some orange juice.
Lunch: Salads and healthy sandwiches.
Dinner: Indian food (I am indian)
My goal is to keep balanced. Exersise daily, cut down on foods, and when hungry eat healthy snacks. 70 days lose 10-20 pounds.
My goal is to continue this plan.. If I continue this and totally cut out sugary products and fatty foods and eat healthier and excerisise with the plan above will I lose a solid amount of weight?
