Where can I find healthy (low fat, low sugar) vegan recipes? I want to start the Lupus recovery diet!? 3

I just ordered this book: http://www.lupusrecoverydiet.com/, and I am pretty sure most of this is true. But I will have to wait several weeks until it is here (I live in France). I want to start this program right NOW!

So does anybody know good webpages (or books I could order in Europe with no waiting for weeks) with really healthy (low-fat and low-sugar and all) vegan recipes? I feel a bit helpless right now, I used to eat cheese and eggs all days… Can I prepare pancakes or omelette without eggs and much fat? Help!

(My library does not have vegan cookbooks, and I have cooked already mostly vegetarian, the problem are the eggs and cheese and all. How to replace in a healthy way? Or cook something else, which is comforting and filling but still low fat and all? This seems so difficult)
@ dog lover: I would be pretty glad, if I would not have Lupus, but i have been tested positively and I have partially VERY severe symptoms since years. That’s the reason why I am so persistent right now!
Really, I sit here in front of the computer and my head is burning hot and aches, my tummy aches badly too and I feel awful *sob* Thankfully, at least the rashes I had all over my face are gone – but I ate only apples and raw veggies today!

Is this a pretty good "diet" plan to lose about 15 pounds of fat? 5

First off, I’m 21, F, about 5’9 and 145ish. The only meat I eat is seafood, primarily fish. Anyways, i’m planning on eating 1,400 calories a day (I did a few online calculators and got maintenance levels at about 2,400 a day for my activity level and that you shouldn’ t subtract more than 1,000 calories a day from maintenance levels), mainly of veggies, fruits, yogurt, and fish, along with some eggs, cheese, other low-fat dairy, some nuts/seeds, whole grain wraps, fiber plus bars and every now and then either a 100 calorie pack or some sorbet if I’m really craving something. I also drink protein shakes too after I get done lifting weights. So as long as i’m eating these foods, staying around 1,400 calories a day, and exercising (cardio and weights) I should lose weight right? Any experience or tips would be great too! Thanks!
I don’t eat meat other than fish as I’m a pescetarian (vegetarian who eats fish), but I get plenty of protein. And I know I don’t actually need to lose it, but I really want to lower my body fat percentage so my muscles are more defined and "toned" looking. Right now I’m around 20%, but I’d really like to get to about 14-15%. Oh, I already don’t eat white/ processed flour, only whole wheat and whole grains and I very rarely eat chips or other fried foods. Since I don’t eat meat, except fish, I basically never eat fast food, so that’s a non-issue as well.

A 12 year old girl, last summer i lost 10 pounds in a month from eating healthy and lite and slim fast every morning. And guess what? I gained most of it back! Now i am at 179 ish and i am 5’4! Goody me! (at least my weight is distributed evenly:) Here is my plan:

Breakfast 8:00 am: Slim Fast

Snack 10:00: Granola-like bar

Lunch 12:20: Yogurt, pita chips & low fat hummus, apples & cheese, little apple juice box, 2 oreos :)

After school: Slim fast

Dinner: (i eat a really small dinner) Little potato, salad, chicken, corn… yeah

The weekends are pretty weird but i will make good choices similar to the week-day schedule.

I plan to jog the tread mill for 15-20 minutes a day… i also have 30 minute PE in school 3 times a week so…

I am taking the hoodia water pill to and i love it!
Fine then i will just like the frosting out of someone else’s oreo then!
*lick hahaha

Switching from low carb to low fat…? 3

Posted on June 27, 2010 by lowfatdg

I have been watching my carbs for 2 ish weeks. I lost five pounds really fast but then I have stayed the same for the past week. So, I have decided that low carb is not healthy and since I exercise so much, my body needs carbs.

Here is my question: I ate 43 carbs a day with 20 grams of fiber.

My new diet plan will cut out ALL fatty foods (except the healthy fats) and all cheese. I will not eat any flour but I will add in two servings of fruit a day.

I am also planning on decreasing my calories.

So the question: Will a lower calorie-low fat diet allow me to lose weight or will I gain weight from the fruit? I really want to stop counting carbs!!

Low Fat Meat Diet……………Recipes? 6

My boyfriend just got put on this due to his cholesterol.
He can have lean meat like pork, chicken, etc.
This has changed my whole way of shopping and cooking.
He of course also is not suppose to have the dairy product, cheese, sour cream, creamy soups etc.
I have found some recipes and have tweaked some of my own but would love any recipes anyone can give me and/or suggestions. (NO, BECOMING VEGGIE OR VEGAN IS OUT OF THE QUESTION, WE LOVE MEAT AND WILL CONTINUE TO EAT IT BUT BE SMARTER ABOUT IT)
Thanks for your help

BEST RECIPE, 10 POINTS.
I did go shopping this weekend and spent a lot of time reading labels and did buy low fat dairy products.
Just looking for some new recipes.
Thanks
