Low Fat Diet Guide

I want to lose 35 lbs. by November- Can someone tell me if this is a balanced diet/ excersize plan? 4

Posted on October 03, 2010 by lowfatdg

I am 25 yrs old, 175 lbs., 5’7.

Breakfast: omelet w/ham, onion, mozz. cheese
sometimes on a whole wheat muffin or bagel
sometimes a bowl of yogurt Cheerios instead
Lunch: turkey sandwich, or a salad w/chicken, lowfat dressing
Dinner: grilled chicken breast, steamed broccoli, sometimes a lean pocket if I am in a hurry
In between I snack on watermelon, pineapple, celery, and cucumbers, but I do have a weakness for low-fat pretzel rods…
I also walk two miles every morning and do Tae-Bo 4-5 times a week not to mention chasing after 3 small kids. On the weekends, I don’t excersize because I work.
I do not drink soda EVER, water and Crystal Light, once in awhile a diet snapple.
Oh yeah, I also take the "green tea pills" but this is more for energy than dieting, I have been taking them for almost five years.
All this and I have only lost like 2 lbs. in a month! I am very faithful and hardly cheat. What am I doing wrong?

Is this a healthy diet plan that will help me lose weight? 1

Posted on August 19, 2010 by lowfatdg

Can someone help with my diet plan and let me know if this is a good diet plan for losing weight?
Below is an example of what I would eat in a day throughout the week:

Breakfast: 1 egg, 2 egg whites, 1 slice of 100% whole wheat bread, low fat laughing cow cheese as a spread, cantaloupe

Snack: Cantalope, mango

Lunch: 6" veggie sub on whole wheat with no mayo

Snack: Sweet potato, cantalope

Dinner: Chicken breast cooked in hibachi sauce (low cal and fat), broccoli, glass of red wine

This all adds up to about 1200 calories, 19g of fat, 150 carbs, 72g of sugar (from the fruit), 70g of protein, and 22g of fiber.

For exercise I plan on doing 5 days a week of 40 min. cardio, 50 lunches, and 50 crunches.

On the weekends I tend to eat a little more and I drink…

I am 5’5 and weigh 140. My body fat % is at 30 and I want to be at 120 pounds and 18% body fat. Will my plan work?

Thank you for your help!

Is this a healthy diet plan..? 7

Posted on August 18, 2010 by lowfatdg

I’m 14 years old and both me and my 12-year-old are gonna abide with this.
This is the plan:

The main idea is to higher my fiber and protein, lean low with cholesterol, lower my use of saturated fat and sodium, and keep a decent amount of FAT in my diet. (The healthy, natural, non-processed kind.)

Okay, so this is the actual deal:

BREAKFAST – have a cup of water with lemon in it and TWO 1-gram-of-fiber-per-pack splendas and two 130-calorie packs of processed oatmeal with ONE pack of splenda.
Then run for approximately 35 minutes.
SNACK – plate of broccoli.
LUNCH – meat with salad…then bike ride for 45 minutes.
SNACK – fruit salad
DINNER – Yoplait low-fat yogurt.
So I wouldn’t eat more than 750 daily calories and the routine would go on for approximately 6 days.

Do you think we can lose about 5-7 pounds with this? Is it healthy?
