Low carb? Low fat?….WTF? 4

Alright so I need to lose 5-10 pounds. Ive always exercised but exercise alone isnt doing it. I need to DIET! But how on earth can you diet when your staple foods like rice & pasta have carbs in ‘em? Like every food item has carbs & fat in them. How do you diet when you have to eat at work…or on the go? And to be honest low fat recipes from cookbooks & websites sound like a lotta BS.
btw…i HATE salads.
Thanks y’all!

Recipes for healthy sweets? 5

My honey LOVES his sweets…cookies especially, & pies, candies, etc…but now has been put on a strict low-cholesterol, low-fat, low-calorie diet for health reasons. I’ve tried looking on the ‘net for ideas of things I could make for him to satisfy his sweet tooth without much success. I’m more than willing to use sugar substitute, low-fat margarine, egg substitute. Does anyone have a recipe for something like this, something you have made yourself & found to be good? Thanks!

Is it possible to lose weight with a low-carb (non-atkins) diet? 3

Posted on September 29, 2010 by lowfatdg

I’m concerned about my blood sugar and insulin levels so I’m considering going on a low carb diet where I would eat about 300 carb calories and 1700 other for a few months in hopes of losing 20 lbs or so. I also plan on doing vigorous exercise to accompany it.

I heard that when you go off low car, you immediately start gaining and there’s no hope of keeping it off. Is it possible at all to keep it off if I watch total calorie intake, exercise and keep a healthy balanced diet?

My plan after i complete my diet would be to go on a 1000 carb/1000 fat&protien diet which I would stay on for life as well as doing good exercise a few times a week. Is this possible? Or would I immediately baloon up after I start eating more carbs?
